Texas studying impacts of recycling
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality is conducting a statewide survey to quantify the amount of recycling happening in the Lone Star state and to assess the economic state of the recycling industry here at home.
The study is the result of Texas Legislature HB 2763 which the authors say will build on prior recycling studies but will include more economic information including current market conditions and the associated job creation from recycling.
The survey, looking at recycling data from the 2015 calendar year, launched on August 15, 2016 with a letter explaining the intentions and soliciting information.
