Welcome to the North Texas Corporate Recycling Association!
At the North Texas Corporate Recycling Association, our mission is to educate businesses and the community about waste reduction strategies through recycling, the establishment and support of commercial recycling programs, and to continue supporting the recycling and waste diversion industries in North Texas. You, our membership, whether recycler, municipality, educator, business or private citizen committed to recycling, keep our vision alive, and help make our mission possible.
At the dawn of this new year and the new decade, we had big plans and even bigger goals. However, COVID-19 has interrupted, but not stopped, our work. While many of our in-person events have been canceled due to quarantine restrictions and social distancing requirements, our biggest events of the year are yet to come.
It is important to recognize that our greatest work still lays ahead as we saw in recent months how much our activity impacts our environment. As the economy begins to reopen, we will continue to reach out to civic and business leaders to educate them on the benefits, both financial and environmental, associated with recycling and reducing carbon.
We invite you to rejoin us in this work. Our upcoming virtual gReen3 Awards, the annual celebration that recognizes those leaders in North Texas who are making a positive difference, will be held online. We are exploring opportunities make our Degrees of Recycling educational event to become a virtual event as well as looking into having virtual webinars. We will keep you posted as these plans unfold.
In the meantime, I invite you to come to revisit NTCRA’s website, www.ntcra.org, and Facebook to keep up to date with what is going on and encourage others around you to join us. Get engaged in our year-end events, network with other members, learn and teach. If you have suggestions as to how we can better serve your interests and participation in recycling, if you have best practices to share, if you would like to volunteer or would like more information, feel free to e-mail me at email@example.com or contact me at (405) 213-3431.
Again, thank you for being part of the NTCRA.
Jason Keller, President, NTCRA 2020
